Leadership Insight #3

Use the STAR, TAR, TAR format; write accurately and legibly using bullet format or sentence form to ensure that you are short, clear and concise. See page 80 of “The Cold Hard Facts about LDAC” for more details on the yellow card.

COLD HARD FACT #16

A “Failure to Train” counseling statement results in a removal from Warrior Forge without LDAC credit.

COLD HARD FACT #2

Cadets go to LDAC with the knowledge and insights that they have obtained since being affiliated with Army ROTC

COLD HARD FACT #17

If you miss movement, you will experience an emotional event called “Cadre Override” and it will not be fun! The result will be a negative mark on your leadership evaluation.

Leadership Insight #21

During Garrison evaluations, eleven different Leadership Performance Indicators (LPI) are almost always seen. (Refer to Table 1 on page 47.)

COLD HARD FACT #21

Blister prevention is much better than blister treatment. Get blisters? Check out our blister kit under products.

COLD HARD FACT #11

Get caught with prohibited items after the in-processing inspection and you may be booted from LDAC for an honor violation. Fail the urinalysis at LDAC and you will be booted from Army ROTC.

Leadership Insight #27

Divide the maneuver paragraph into these 5-phases. Read chapter 10 of “The Cold Hard Facts about LDAC” to get the breakdown!

Leadership Insight #6

If your goal is to get 60 points in each event, YOU WILL FAIL! Always do your best in each event during every APFT. Don’t let your enemy, Tiny Heart Syndrome, win the battle!

COLD HARD FACT #3

The LDP works and is a proven system! Read Chapter 3 of “The Cold Hard Facts about LDAC” for detailed information.

Leadership Insight #22

Most Cadets make the mistake of writing down the platoon mission statement instead of formulating a squad mission statement.

Leadership Insight #4

Dedicate time to studying ROTC information by performing daily physical fitness and keeping a positive attitude. Continue to strive for excellence even if you fail an event. You may be able to recover if you keep a good attitude and apply yourself.
